Into The Arms Of Home

Crystallised lips which no longer speak

Abandoned by faith without a farewell kiss?

Unworthy of life you’ve made me feel

Without you near how can I heal?

Stillness rattles silent screams of despair

Teardrops melt lightly upon the tips of my hair

Sadness sheltered by the warmth of playful skies

Approaching the place where angels fly

Forgotten memories awaken heightened senses

Strained heart moans, where is the fairness?

Odoured emotions swim from trenches’ depths

To the edge of my abyss I despondently step

Fossilised key misplaced to open keyless door to awakening

Down on bloodied knees on the day of reckoning

Heartache in heartland where king of kings lives

Until the final breath I will always forgive

Return to the original place of baptism

Liberated soon from my personal prison

Bolts of flashlight reverently revealed

Is that you I feel now unconcealed?

Take me away from my rattling bones

To a place I am whole and into the arms of home

Angels trumpeting soon away I go

I will see you again where day and night unite,

That I know
